Welcome grade 9 students to a new academic year. I am delighted to have joined the English team at Oasis International Academy this year. I will be teaching a mix of both the C5 class and the C4 class throughout this academic year. I am originally Egyptian Canadian but consider myself a “third culture global citizen.” I have spent the majority of my school years in Switzerland then Cyprus. I graduated from the American University of Cairo with a major in Politcal Economy and a minor in History. I also have a Masters in Secondary Education from the College of New Jersey. I believe strongly that the best learning comes from experience. My teaching philosophy will be mainly focused around using many tools and strategies to reach multiple learners. Towards the end of the year students will have developed important study skills that will enable them to move on in the world of IB.
